Add a little fire to water and the result hovers on the edge of disaster.  One wrong move and the fire is extinguished.  These two elements are beautiful together, but are at the opposite ends of the spectrum.  The water wants to quench the fire; it's just the nature of water.  I do agree with the ancient's philosophy that water was one of the four basic elements and is a part of our lives.  We spend the first nine months of our existence surrounded by water and there are those who will argue that humans evolved from sea faring creatures.  It just seems natural that we are drawn to water.  Mix the water with a little fire and you can create a beautiful setting.  The water and fire keep each other in balance, but it is an uneasy balance since each wants to eliminate the other.  I do enjoy bathing by candlelight.  I find it relaxing and refreshing.  I hope you do as well.
